Several months ago there was a shooting at one of the high schools in our city. Five freshmen passed and one survived. It felt unreal, even though I hadn't really known the students, it was still terrifying to think that these things really do happen. It happened to us.

This song was written for those kids. Say hi to God for me.

A prayer for you. What am I to say? I'm so confused. Can't believe what happened today, on the news. They were people that, people that we knew. Who knew?

Wanted to hold on to anybody it didn't matter who. I saw strangers become neighbors. Never did I say 'I love you" more in that time, in that place. Things will never be the same. We are forever changed.
